Why doesn’t content marketing generated by Artificial Intelligence help you position yourself on Google?

Content marketing, undoubtedly, provides a huge return on investment, so it’s understandable that many people seek an easy solution to develop content much faster.

However, the question is: Can artificial intelligence really help you generate content that helps qualify your company?

Stay tuned to learn more about it.

What is AI Content Marketing?

AI-generated content marketing is exactly what it sounds like: content generated by AI. Currently, there are various tools available, but perhaps auto-writing is the most problematic. However, it’s a tool used by specialists to create blogs, social media texts, website texts, press releases, video scripts, among others.

Many auto-writers employ GPT-4, a language AI generator developed by OpenAI. This tool is known for generating content very similar to human in just a few minutes and with few-word instructions.

Does AI Content work for SEO?

In reality, we believe that AI-generated content marketing will not replace humans, as the content originates from other already created contents. However, it can add value to the content we generate. Since AI is very useful for developing ideas about titles or posts, it helps you detect grammatical errors, and offers suggestions to improve the text.

That said, we don’t believe that AI is ideal for:

  • Creative content.
  • Complete schemes for SEO content.
  • Long-lasting and quality narratives.
  • Content that adds value to existing results.

Now, does Artificial Intelligence work for SEO content? Possibly, it provides good ideas, but we don’t recommend creating all content with AI, as it definitely does not replace human creativity.

Human-generated Content vs AI-generated Content

Let’s see what the difference is between human writing and AI writing.

Voice and Tone

Artificial intelligence has not processed the nuances of human language. It only consists of a large dataset, and although it can capture patterns within our language, it cannot convey a tone. A super important factor for content to catch readers’ attention and be aligned with the purpose and experience of your brand.

Any person or robot can produce content and meet all Google’s requirements, even a blog can appear on the first pages of Google if it’s not marked as spam.

But ultimately, great content creators and SEO experts have a voice. This is what turns a blog into an excellent one.

AI Limits Content

AI as a writing tool uses relevant content found online to put it together and create new content that is readable. This means it can only generate content that already exists, but in a different way. In fact, in some cases, these texts don’t feel smooth.

Furthermore, because AI gathers information from different places and then unifies it as a whole, the final content can be somewhat robotic and bland, but it can also be a bit odd, nonsensical, or even contradictory.

Design is Key

Design is an important factor within content for it to rank on Google’s first results. Within our internal processes, our content creation process begins with a session with a digital strategist and designer to share ideas and establish the key points required for the content to stand out.

Now, indeed, artificial intelligence can design, but you must tell it exactly what to create. However, the result may not be the best.

AI kills creativity

It’s no secret that artificial intelligence has played a fundamental role in our lives today. However, relying entirely on this tool takes away the challenging and interesting aspects of creative and strategic processes.

During content creation, spontaneity, creativity, and empathy are important, something that artificial intelligence cannot offer you. It’s necessary for the content to be creative and interesting to read in order to rank in Google’s responses.

Don’t underestimate Google

It’s important to keep in mind that Google, although artificial, is intelligent, and its AI is much better than the one you use. Google’s AI can identify if content was written by a robot or a human and determine that content developed by artificial intelligence is spam.

Even though content generated by artificial intelligence may be very good, it will still be detected. Google respects the originality of content and knows who published it before you.

AI tools for content marketing work to identify topics or trends, but the importance of research and analysis cannot be replaced. With AI, you cannot create convincing content precisely because it’s not a person.

Quantity is not better than quality

AI for content marketing can help you produce a lot of content with a single click and offer decent results in the short term, especially when targeting less difficult terms. However, this doesn’t mean it’s good, as a high volume of posting can harm your long-term traffic.

With quality content, you will engage users with the content and keep readers on the page longer. This will tell Google that the blog is really good.

Is AI for creators?

The answer is yes, indeed, this tool can be used by creators, although it competes with our business model. However, we will be the first to reap the benefits if we use it correctly.

AI as a tool for content marketing can help you save time, improve quality, detect errors, among others. But it’s certain that it will be a long time before it replaces writers.
